Federal Holiday Schedule for Social Security Offices

Like many Federal agencies, Social Security offices are closed on several holidays throughout the year.  Below is the 2021 Holiday schedule for Social Security offices. Some office locations will also close on other days not listed on the Federal Holiday schedule. We recommend you call your local Social Security office to verify their hours of operations.  Note: during the COVID crisis, most Social Security offices are closed to the public although local employees will answer phones and help you with your Social Security questions.
